ResumeIQ provides ATS-style analysis for job seekers—not employment guarantees. Test your file in the free resume checker, then read how scores are calculated on our methodology page.
This page explains what ResumeIQ does and does not promise. Read it alongside our scoring methodology, how resume analysis works, privacy policy, and terms of service.
ResumeIQ is guidance, not employment advice
ResumeIQ helps you understand how hiring software may read your resume and where to improve formatting, keywords, and bullet proof. We do not provide legal, career coaching, or employment guarantees. Hiring decisions always involve human judgment, timing, fit, and factors outside any checker.
What the tool can do
- Extract text from PDF or DOCX and show parse order issues
- Estimate ATS-style compatibility from layout, structure, and keyword signals
- Compare your resume to a pasted job description for match gaps
- Suggest draft rewrites you can verify and edit before applying
- Publish transparent scoring rules on our methodology page
What the tool cannot do
- Replicate any employer's private ATS configuration or ranking weights
- Guarantee that a score means you will pass screening or get an interview
- See recruiter shortlists, referrals, or internal notes
- Replace your judgment about what experience to claim on an application
- Detect every possible parser edge case across all hiring platforms
We do not claim 100% ATS accuracy. Scores are directional estimates based on observable text and layout—not a certification that your file will succeed everywhere.
Recruiter decisions vary
Even when parsing succeeds, recruiters may prioritize different signals: seniority, industry context, location, portfolio work, or team fit. Two recruiters reviewing the same resume can disagree. Use ResumeIQ to reduce avoidable technical failures; use your own judgment for narrative and role targeting.
No ATS vendor partnerships or endorsements
ResumeIQ is an independent product. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, certified by, or partnered with applicant tracking vendors such as Workday, Greenhouse, Lever, Taleo, iCIMS, or SAP SuccessFactors. When we name platforms in guides, we describe common industry patterns—not official relationships.
AI-generated suggestions
Optional AI rewrites and bullet suggestions are drafts. They may omit context, misread your experience, or use outdated phrasing. You are responsible for verifying facts, metrics, and tone before submitting any application. See terms of service §4.
How to use scores responsibly
- Fix parse and format warnings first.
- Tailor honest keywords per posting—not keyword stuffing.
- Re-export and re-check the exact file you will upload.
- Apply when you meet the role's real requirements—not only when a number looks high.
Run the free ATS resume checker on your file, then read how ATS works for the hiring stack context.

Disclaimer FAQ
Does ResumeIQ guarantee I will pass ATS screening?
No. Scores estimate parse health, keyword overlap, and structure—they are preparation guidance, not a pass guarantee for any employer system.
Is ResumeIQ partnered with Workday, Greenhouse, or other ATS vendors?
No. ResumeIQ is independent. We describe common ATS behavior in guides but have no vendor partnerships, certifications, or official endorsements.
How accurate is ResumeIQ compared to employer ATS?
We do not claim 100% accuracy or identical results to any employer's internal tools. Use reports to fix actionable issues on your file, not to predict private ranking.
Are AI resume suggestions always correct?
No. AI outputs are drafts. Verify facts, metrics, and tone before using them on a real application.
